About Quinoa
Quinoa is considered a "superfood" because it is a complete protein and one of only
two grains to contain all eight essential amino acids. Quinoa is higher in unsaturated
fats and lower in  carbohydrates than most grains and provides a rich and balanced
source of vital nutrients. Quinoa was a staple of the Incas in South America, who
called it the "mother grain." However,  Quinoa is a member of the beet family and not
technically a grain. Quinoa is gluten-free.
